So, What Are You Into?
Talking out loud about the stuff that won’t leave us alone.
I launched a new podcast this week with my friend James Tolbert.
You may know James as my frequent collaborator in Team Starkid. He played The Prince in Cinderella’s Castle, Xander Lee in Black Friday, and Charles Coven in Nightmare Time. He is also the choreographer for the West End bound The Guy Who Didn’t Like Musicals, and my co Pulp Musicals partner in crime.
James and I have worked together as a pair for years, onstage and off. We have built shows together. We have toured together. We have had long conversations about art in dressing rooms and living rooms and coffee shops. Turning on the microphones felt inevitable.
The show is called So, What Are You Into?
Each episode, we bring one thing we have genuinely been engaging with lately. Movies. Shows. Books. Ideas. We talk about why it is sticking.
Not reviews. Not news. Not homework.
Just conversation about the things that will not leave us alone.
In our first episode, we kept circling the same idea from different directions. Ordinary characters. Not chosen ones. Just people trying to do their jobs well in systems that do not reward decency.
If you enjoy conversations about art, media, and how it shapes the way we see the world, this show is for you.
We are excited to keep sharing what we are into, and to bring on friends, artists, and collaborators to nerd out about the work that is moving them.
